CVS and Walgreens Deals for 1/5 through 1/11

I think I am doing CVS and Walgreens today… maybe a free candy bar at CVS and maybe some Chex Mix at Walgreens, but let’s see if there is more of interest this week or not.

Here is the CVS Pocket Your Dollars listing for this week. First, we have the free candy when you scan your card at the CVS coupon machine and receive a $.75 off 1 coupon, so of course, limit 1. It is a Mars chocolate singles 1.08 to 1.92 oz. which means M&M’s, Snickers and not sure what else. General Mills cereal 10.6 to 14 oz. (excludes Fiber One), Nature Valley or Fiber One Bars 5 to 12 ct. 2 for $6 and receive $2 back in ECBs when you buy 2. Use the $1 off 2 General Mills coupon in the 1/5 SS. Pocket Your Dollars lists a number of other cereal coupons and Nature Valley coupons, but seems to be missing the Fiber One bar coupons, but then her wording is different than our ad. Use $.50 off 1 Fiber One Chewy Bars, Fiber One 90 Calorie Products (Bars, Brownies, Cakes), Fiver One Protein Chewy Bars Or Fiber One Meal Bar, Any Box from 01-05-14 SS or October 2013 Shape Magazine or NOvember/December 2013 Weight Watchers Magazine or printable (coupons.com) or printable (EverydaySaver). There is also a few $.60 off 1 Fiber one printables including Pillsbury, Live Better America, Boxtops for Education, or Betty Crocker. All liquid laundry detergent 28 to 33 loads or mighty pacs 24 ct. 2 for $6.99, limit 4. Use $3 off 2 from 1/5 RP. Charmin basic 12 pk. double rolls toilet paper 2 for $11.98 and receive $2 back in ECBs when you buy 2. Use $.25 off 1 Charmin, Any (Excludes Trial/Travel Size; Limit Of 4 Like Coupons Per Household Per Day) from 12-29-13 PG. That means paying $11.48 for 2 packages and receiving $2 back in ECBs, or like paying $9.48 for 2 or $4.74 each, which is barely within the price I like to pay. Pocket Your Dollars lists the coupons with the Kellogg’s Special K cereal and bars deal where it is 2 for $5 and receive $1 back in ECBs when you buy 2. I know I have one of the my $.70 off 1 multigrain Special K, but not sure CVS has that variety and used most of the rest of them at Kroger and CVS recently, but may see what I have. I do like the Special K cereals and bars. Ajax dish liquid 14 oz. $.99. Finish powerball or gelpacs 10 to 25 ct. buy one get one free and use the $2.15 off 1 Finish Powerball, Gelpacs, Or Quantum, Any 20 Count Or Higher (Not Valid On Promotional Bundle Packs) from 01-05-14 SS. As I think these are rather high priced, I am not sure if it will make a good deal or not, but may make sure I have the Finish coupons this afternoon to check. Unless I receive a further coupon from the CVS coupon machine, I think I can do better than the Stayfree Pads 28 to 48 ct. $4.49 and use the buy one get one free coupon from the 1/5 SS inserts. I suspect for those who use it the Boost regular, high protein, or calorie smart 6 pk. $6.99 and receive $1 back in ECBs, when you buy 1 and use the $4 off boost or the $3 off boost coupons in the 1/5 SS would make a good deal. Gallon of skim milk, whole, 1% or 2% milk for $3.59 and receive $1 in ECBs when you buy 1, limit 2. Lately, I have been skipping the milk as the expiration dates at CVS seem a tad short to me, when we go through only one gallon per week. I missed the free PediaCare after coupon and ECBs that Pocket Your Dollars lists. I don’t have children young enough to take that anymore and do not know where to donate such medications in Oak Ridge.

Here is the Walgreens Pocket Your Dollars listing for this week. Cashew halves and pieces 8 or 9.25 oz. $1.99. Trident gum 14 to 18 pieces 3 for $2 and use $1 off 3 from 1/5 SS. I did not receive the Trident coupon in my inserts, darn. A&W, 7UP, Sunkist, Canada Dry or Hawaiian Punch $1, limit 3. Chex Mix 5.5 to 8.75 oz. 4 for $6 and use $1 off 4 from Walgreens January coupon booklet. Also use $.50 off 2 from 12/15 SS or 11/24 SS or printable (everydaysaver) or printable (coupons.com). There is also some $.60 off 2 printables including Pillsbury, Boxtops for Education and Betty Crocker. So we have 4 for $5 after store coupon, then use 2 $.50 off 2 coupons for $1 off, so 4 for $4, or better if you have better coupons. There was some $.50 or $.60 off 1 coupons out earlier in time. Darn, I only seem to have one of the $.50 off 1 coupons. If you received the Pringles coupon for $1 off 4 pringles from the 1/5 RP, then you could get them for 4 for $4, but that coupon was not in my inserts. I have noticed our area does not get the Pringles coupons. Palmolive Dish liquid 25 oz. $1.99 and use $.50 off 1 coupon from 1/5 SS. All Liquid Laundry Detergent 2x 28 to 40 loads 2 for $7 and use the $3 off 2 coupon from the 1/5 RP insert. Finish galpacs or tabs 20 pk. or capsules 10 pk. $3.99 and use the $2.15 off 1 Finish Powerball, Gelpacs, Or Quantum, Any 20 Count Or Higher (Not Valid On Promotional Bundle Packs) from 01-05-14 SS. Hefty one zip bags 13 pack freezer or 17 or 22 pk. storage bags buy one get one free. Use $1 off 2 Hefty Slider Bags, Any 12 Count Or Larger (Limit 4 Like Coupons In Same Day) from 01-05-14 RP or 11-10-13 RP or printable (manufacturer website, prints via redplum). Carmex lip care .15 to .35 oz. 4 for $4 and use $1 off 2 from 1/5 SS and receive 1,000 balance rewards when you buy 4. So buy 4 for $4 and use 2 of the $1 off 2 coupons and pay $2 and receive $1 worth of balance rewards. Walgreens Stayfree deal is $3.99 for ultra thin maxi pads 28 to 36 pack and use the buy one get one free coupon from the 1/5 SS. Was hoping for a better deal, but Walmart had a more expensive price for this size. General Mills cereal 9 to 13.1 oz. 2 for $4 and use the $1 off 2 coupon in the 1/5 SS or other coupons listed on Pocket Your Dollars. Progresso soup 18.5 to 19 oz. can 2 for $2.50 and use the $.50 off 2 coupon from 1/5 SS or 12/8 SS or 11/17 SS or printable (manufacturer website) or printable (coupons.com) or printable (everydaysaver). There are a few freebies after RR items, but they all look like junk to me. I missed the $.99 eggs and the Butterball turkey bacon 6 oz. for $.99. There is the Butterball facebook coupon, as referenced on Pocket Your Dollars, if you haven’t already printed it.

One bit of note… Christmas candy is 75% off at CVS and Walgreens. The Oak Ridge CVS had the Christmas M&M’s for $1.07, and I had $1 off 2 Mars Holiday candy blinkie coupons that expire 1/16, I think. So I now have enough baking M&M’s to last a bit. I use whichever I can find cheaper M&M’s or baking chips. I guess I could separate the green M&M’s from the red and use the red for Valentine’s and the green for St. Patrick’s day, but somehow I seriously doubt it. My son is not young enough to have classroom parties where people bring treats and my son’s old elementary preferred non-homebaked goods.
