Family Day at the Oak Ridge Civic Center
Saturday, February 23rd from 12 noon until 4 PM
There will be games, food for purchase and lots of fun. There will be a family zumba experience, a chili cook off and free swim assessments for kids. Call to set up a time for a the free swim assessment at 865-425-3450.
Here is an article on it. Sounds more like an open house with some rooms open for free. IE tours of the facility, some public swim time but you have to pay for that, some food for sale, etc. But could be rather fun. “The game room will be open for pool, ping pong and foosball. Crafts, board games, movies and other activities are planned for the meeting rooms. Gym activities will include games, basketball, volleyball and a family Zumba experience.”
If you go, let me know what you think. I may head over, but may not. Wonder how bad pricing is there for normal gym type membership, or how it all works.
Address is 1403 Oak Ridge Turnpike, just in case you don’t know where it is. I think I do, but haven’t looked it up to be sure.
PS: I did go and had a very good time. Enjoyed the chili cookoff primarily. Had to try all the chilis and rate them. I voted for the fire department’s chili. Whose chili did you vote for?
